Technology has made its way into every facet of our lives. From the moment we wake up technology keeps us on task (alarms, reminders and digital schedules), until the time we go to bed (sound machines, e-books with auto shut offs). It it no surprise that technology has seeped into the classroom.

Applications like iMovie and EdPuzzle (see mine here!) allow students to have interactive experiences in the classroom. This hands on tool offers a new way of learning that can benefit a variety of learners. Technology is also an exciting avenue for learning that students enjoy, this is powerful! Students who are excited to learn will learn so much more than students who are not engaged in their learning experiences.

As a member of a group, I helped create two movies using iMovie, "The Circle of College Life" & "Louie the Therapy Dog". The process of filming was simple (and fun). We were able to record using the devices we already have! Transferring the video files was also a simple process, and editing was made easy through the comprehensive program. I also had the opportunity to create a trailer using iMovie templates. This would be a great option in the classroom! The program works like a "fill in the blank" template that is easy and intuitive and it creates videos that look very put together. The application for this program in the classroom is only limited by the imagination of those using it. Take a look at the trailer that we created using a fun template that was perfect for our subject.
